Payment status on the calendar, double booking prevention, occupant roster + 5 more updates
v1.10.0 brings three big features: per-period payment status right on the occupancy calendar, automatic warnings when a room is already booked, and a proper occupant roster per lease. Plus an FAQ page, due date control, document display settings, vehicle notes, and an expense shortcut.
Three new things in v1.10.0 that youâll notice right away, payment status colours on the calendar, a warning when a room is already booked by someone else, and a proper occupant roster per lease. Plus 5 supporting updates for everyday work.
Payment status on the Calendar

Each rent period on the calendar now has its own colour based on payment status, Paid, Partial, Late, or Unpaid. Open the calendar and you can see at a glance whoâs settled and who needs chasing. The colours carry through to the PDF export.
This feature came from a request by a landlord in Maluku, 14 June 2026.
Prevent double booking

Adding a tenant to a room whose dates were already taken, that used to save silently. Now the app warns you (or blocks the save) when a new lease overlaps in time with an existing one on the same unit. A 1â31 July stay conflicts with one starting 15 July, even though no single date is typed twice.
Set it under Tenants â Prevent double booking: Warn only (default), Block save, or Off. Same-day turnover still works. Free for everyone, not just for Pro accounts, this is about preventing fundamental mistakes, not adding a premium extra.
This feature also came from a landlordâs request.
Record every occupant, not just the count

Rooms shared by a couple, siblings, or a group of friends used to just show up as âGuest count = 2 or 3â. Now each occupant can be recorded individually: name, phone, email. Raise the guest count on the Add/Edit tenant form and a â+ Add occupantâ button appears. Autocompletes against your existing person records.
Shows on the tenant card as stacked avatars with âName +Nâ, tap to see everyone.
A Pro feature. You unlock it by raising the guest count on the tenant form. If you later lapse to Free, the roster entries youâve already made stay editable, nothing is lost.
This feature also came from a landlordâs request.
Plus 5 more updates
1. FAQ page in Profile. Five of the most-asked questions. Profile â More â FAQ. Content is server-side, so answers can be updated without a new release.
2. Invoice due date control. Preset in Add/Edit Invoice: Rent period start (default), 1, 3, 7, 15, or 30 days. Each option shows the actual resolved date that will be used. For DP/booking invoices, the default now anchors to check-in. Plus an automatic payment note in the PDF (Simple + Professional).

3. Document display settings. Profile â Settings â Document template, 7 switches for what shows on Invoice/Receipt/deposit return (logo, address, phone, email, check-in/out, remaining period). âSee exampleâ button for an instant preview. Free.
4. Note per tenant vehicle. Each vehicle entry now carries a Note field (250 chars), for colour, whose it is, which parking slot.

5. âAdd expenseâ shortcut from the property/room card. Long-press a card â menu â Add expense. Long-pressing a room card pre-fills the room.

Fixes worth mentioning
- âBookedâ now shows for every upcoming tenant, not just DP-paid ones.
- Arrears report agrees with the room badge, no more âroom Late, Arrears Rp 0â mismatch.
- Cash-basis income includes prepaid periods. If your tenants often prepay, that monthâs income will read higher than before.
- Editing an Invoice no longer silently rewrites the due date.
And plenty of other small fixes that make Kamaru better.
The people building this app are all of you â¤ď¸
Three main features in this update, Payment status on the Calendar, Prevent double booking, and Occupant roster, all came from landlord requests. Take one example: payment status colours on the calendar. It came from one WhatsApp message from a landlord in Maluku, 14 June 2026. He asked for a red marker for late periods. We thought âwhy not do all four statuses?â, and thatâs the feature you now see on your calendar.
This isnât a special story. Itâs the pattern we want more of: you speak, we listen, features appear. Kamaru is built by a small team without investors, we donât have a UX research department, so youâre the one who knows whatâs missing.
Two ways we build Kamaru together:
- Profile â Feature request, straight from the app, straight to our inbox. Weâll continue the conversation via WhatsApp or Email.
- Review on the store, 20 seconds, but a good review = higher ranking = more owners discovering Kamaru â more feedback = more features that people actually use.

So if thereâs one thing that makes your life harder in this app, please tell us. The next update might have your idea in it.
